No matter where their desk is, women who are professionally driven will always be driven. Working from home is literally doing my work in the comfort of my own place and my own time. Sounds really nice right? Especially for solo moms like me, that need to provide for their child and do the parenting at the same time. It’s never easy being a mom that juggles a full-time job with a family life. A big thanks to the innovation of individuals and businesses around the globe with the help of modern technology, which is the greatest resource when working from home. This innovative set-up allows businesses to keep hardworking and talented employees – they won’t need to have their young children in the care of other people which saves them a lot in terms of money and time. But just like working in a regular office, working at home also has its ups and downs. However, for me that has been an office worker for more than a decade could attest that advantages are way better when working from home. A work from home makes it possible for me to be a full-time mother and also earn the needed income for the family – allows me to be a part of my children’s routines throughout the day.
Working while eating or watching?
Call it multitasking!
Working at home eliminates the waste of time and leaves me more time for my son, its flexibility allows me to complete errands during the day and travel as you see it. As for me, working from my own home increases my productivity and decrease the stress of an office environment. Also, sometimes (I may say most of the time) managers and bosses are not very nice people to work for! Having a work at home set-up keeps you away from the employers and the coworkers that sometimes gives a lot of headaches that make you want to break their neck at some point! So yes, working from home makes me a nicer person (I guess!) Most people I know says that their flexible work environment relieves the amount of stress in their lives and gives them a healthier work-life balance. People who work from home have an easier time eating healthy and striking a manageable work-life balance. Eating healthier and having more time to spend with your family can help you feel less stressed.
Aside from the many benefits to working from home moms, the most important part is the benefits to our children. We can’t deny the fact that working moms miss out on some quality time with their babies and sometimes even milestones because of their job. A lot of child development studies have found that children who are able to stay home with their mothers are more secure and better behaved than children who spend hours every day in a daycare facility. It’s a fact that work at home jobs sometimes don’t pay that much that working outside, but look how much money is saved by not having to go out to work. For my situation, it is a less demand for a good-looking office wardrobe, less time spent on mirror trying to look good which i’m not fond of doing! Another thing, no need for me to commute to work as it can be dangerous as well as exhausting due to heavy traffic. Through the amazing wonders of the Internet, I can be working for someone on the other side of the world and they can’t break neck from another continent! These are my own personal and practical insights of working from home. I feel incredibly lucky to have been able to find work I can do from home. I do get to enjoy a lot of time with my little people and I wouldn’t trade my work-from-home life ‘coz I’m incredibly grateful that I have this freedom.
